Installing FirstClass Synchronization Services
If this is a new install start at step 1 if this is an upgrade from FCSS 9.0 b15 or later please start at step 4.
2 Create a cgi-bin folder within the FCServer folder, if one does not already exist.
3 Register FCSS
- Open a DOS prompt, navigate to the FCServer directory
- To register FCSS as a standalone application server, type fcsync /RegServer and then press Enter. (Recommended)
- To register FCSS as a Windows service, type fcsync /Service and then press Enter.
- To unregister a previous selection, type fcsync /UnregServer and then press Enter.
- Unzip the files into the FCServer Directory, when prompted if you want to replace the existing files click yes.
5 Configure the FirstClass Sync Services connection
- In the FCServer folder you will find the inetsvcs.cf (not inetsvcs.fc). Open the inetsvcs.cf file with a text editor. Place the following at the very bottom of the .cf file. [SyncServices] PROTOCOL_PORT = 80 ACTIVESYNC_MAX_WINDOW_SIZE = 20 ACTIVESYNC_MAX_PING_INTERVAL = 5 ACTIVESYNC_SESSION_TIMEOUT_INTERVAL = 5
- Also found in the FCServer folder is the INETSVCS.FC, open this with this file with the FC Client, click the setup button and setup the configuration to connect to the FCServer with the Internet Gateway account and password, usually the 1000000000 account on the core server.

6 Launch FCSync.exe from within the FCSErver folder ot DOS prompt.
